Robotics Project Engineer (m/f/d) – New Builds

We are looking for an experienced Robotics Project Engineer (m/f/d) to support international robotics and automation projects within new-build environments. In this role, you will combine project management with technical expertise and act as a key interface between internal stakeholders, external system integrators and technology partners.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate robotics and automation projects from concept through implementation and start-up
  • Define project requirements, scope, timelines, budgets and success criteria
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, external system integrators, suppliers and technology partners
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for robotics and automation
  • Assess technical solutions regarding feasibility, risks, scalability and business value
  • Review and challenge proposals and recommendations from external system integrators
  • Develop and evaluate business cases focusing on productivity, capacity, efficiency and safety
  • Lead and evaluate Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects
  • Support the development of the long-term robotics and automation project pipeline
  • Work closely with global and cross-functional teams in an international environment
  • Travel internationally as required

Your Profile

  • Degree or comparable qualification in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of experience in project engineering, project management, automation, applications engineering or a similar technical role
  • Strong practical knowledge of industrial robotics and automation technologies
  • Experience with technologies such as industrial robots, collaborative robots (Cobots), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), machine vision and industrial automation systems
  • Experience working with system integrators, suppliers and external technology partners
  • Strong ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in international and multicultural teams
  • Fluent English skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Medical Device environments
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO or FDA requirements
  • Experience with validation processes such as IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Experience delivering robotics or automation projects in manufacturing, logistics or laboratory environments
  • Knowledge of project risk management and compliance documentation
