IT Support & Monitoring Specialist (f/m/d) 100% Remote

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Support & Monitoring Specialist to ensure the stability and performance of our systems, drive improvements in monitoring, and support a seamless operations process in a highly collaborative, international environment.
This position is remote-first, but we appreciate occasional attendance at on-site team meetings in Cologne.

After a detailed induction programme, you will take on responsibility in the following areas:

Monitoring & System Operations
  • Monitor system metrics using AWS Console, Datadog, and Kibana
  • Respond to anomalies (e.g., restart pods, replay messages, increase disk space)
  • Proactively implement new monitoring metrics based on system health and product KPIs
  • Create reports on API usage and database query activity
Incident & Outage Handling
  • Assess incident impact and coordinate with relevant teams
  • Conduct first-level investigations and provide input to L3 support
  • Support root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation
  • Help establish continuous improvement processes
Ticket Handling
  • Manage tickets escalated from L1 support, including technical analysis or escalation to L3
  • Track resolution progress and communicate with stakeholders
  • Handle requests from country-specific ComOps teams (e.g., permission management, package assignments)
Communication & Documentation
  • Use Customers internal infrastructure for documentation and issue tracking
  • Participate in regular sync meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure knowledge flow between L1 and L3 support levels

Your Profile
  • Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science or comparable, ideally with initial work experience or internships
  • Strong technical understanding and structured problem-solving skills
  • First experience with ticketing systems and support processes
  • Ideally, but not a must: first experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS, Datadog, Kibana)
  • Fluent English skills (spoken and written)
  • Independent and reliable way of working, strong team orientation
  • Suitable for recent graduates with relevant practical experience or professionals with industry background
