Senior Project Manager Rare Metals (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Main contact person for international customers in technical project matters - Translating customer specifications into internal requirements - Planning and control of all project phases: Request for quotation, sampling, qualification, validation, production ramp-up - Coordination of internal interfaces: Production, R&D, quality, sales - Co-operation with external partners and suppliers - Advice on material selection and process strategies for customer applications (e.g. automotive, energy, electronics) - Analysing and evaluating metallurgical data (e.g. microstructure, mechanical properties) - Support in the industrialisation of new products, taking into account costs, quality and regulatory requirements - Tracking of milestones, resource planning and risk management - Technical support in contract negotiations and profitability assessments - Participation in the preparation of quotations, pricing and margin optimisation - Clear presentation of technical solutions to customers and internal decision makers
Your profile:
- Completed studies (Master or PhD) in metallurgy, materials engineering, process engineering or related field - At least 5-7 years of experience in industrial project management or technical sales - Experience in working with international industrial customers, preferably from the automotive, aerospace, energy or electronics sectors - Sound knowledge of rare metals, special alloys or powder metallurgy is an advantage - Very good project management skills with organisational strength and multitasking skills - Confident demeanour in technical and business discussions - Analytical thinking and solution-orientated approach to work - Ability to communicate technical content in a clear, structured and target-oriented manner - Entrepreneurial thinking paired with practical implementation skills
Language skills
- English: fluent written and spoken (required) - German: desirable, but not a must - Other languages: especially Russian or Eastern European languages are an advantage (due to international production and supplier contacts)
