The Task

 Join the team as a Data Domain Owner (DDO) and play a pivotal role in the clients transformation into a data-driven company.

As a DDO, you will be entrusted with the management of a data domain, where you will define and implement a data strategy that aligns with business model together with the domain architect. You will identify and drive data products, provide leadership, and empower data stewards and stakeholders. Together with other functions from IT and business you will work on improving the data domain processes to build an effective working team and a well-controlled environment for the creation of data products.

• Define the data strategy for your domain and ensure its implementation.
• Oversee the overall setup of data assets within the data domain.
• Maintain data governance in line with national and international regulations.
• Defend the data governance strategy in inspections and audits.
• Drive to optimize the company wide processes in the data governance area.
• Define business value-enhancing quality indicators for data within your domain.
• Steer the portfolio of initiatives concerning your domain regarding objectives, timing, and resources.
• Empower the data domain team to drive for excellence.
• Manage the domain data usage, including check and approve requests for data products and their later publication.


Your Profile:

• Long term experience as a project lead in IT projects with the ability to motivate the project team to excellence.
• Deep understanding of data management ideally by previous experience in the role of data domain owner or master data manager in complex data environments.
• Experience with data quality in data analytics applications.
• High level of abstraction to create general and well described information models in your domain.
• Good documentation skills for your datasets and a deep understanding of the requirements of data users.
• Knowledge of relevant GxP regulations and further compliance-related knowledge would be an advantage.
• Fluency in English is necessary for this role, knowledge of German would be an advantage.
